S. Jakarta Provides Mobile Pumps in Flood-Prone Areas

The South Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department keeps conducting various ways to minimize flood in South Jakarta. One of them is by providing mobile pumps in several flood-prone areas.

The pumps are provided in flood-prone areas, such as Kemang Raya, Kemang Timur, Perdatam Ulujami, and PD Pasar Jaya Cipulir

“The pumps are provided in flood-prone areas, such as Kemang Raya, Kemang Timur, Perdatam Ulujami, and PD Pasar Jaya Cipulir,” said Head of Water Management Sub-Department, Deddy Budiwidodo, Tuesday (4/7).

Ampiun Connecting Channel is Normalized

According to Budiwidodo, his sub-department continues to coordinate with Public Work Ministry to discuss that matter. “Our focus is to secure the public and still coordinating with ministry,” he explained.

Likewise with Cipulir Market problem that is often submerged due to overflowing waters of Pesanggarahan River. “Indeed, we have a little obstacle in the normalization of Pesanggrahan River, considering there is a narrowing that have an impact on Perdatam Ulujami and Cipulir Market. The market will be handled by PD Pasar Jaya and we only close the gap which is a water entrance and pumping it to the other side,” he uttered.

He who had received a rebuke from Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama some time ago admitted it is his mistake.”This is my fault, where I did not install a mobile pump to minimize flood. This relates to the service to the community, thus it is reasonable if he rebuked me," he stated.
